Let me use an analogy. A lady is lawfully married to a man and bears his name. Because she bears his name, she's has a 'seat' in the husband's company and gets all the goodies. She then announced that she's getting married to another man on 7th December. She's done the paper works, the only thing left is the ceremony in December. The husband's company says, because you're leaving him, you lose your seat that you gained in his company by virtue of your marriage to him. Then the woman says, keep me here till December. After all, I'm serving the customers forgetting she's in the company because of the husband in the first place.
He seat was declared by the CEO of the company and the Court has granted the CEO should keep until the company comes to defend why she's been booted out. The CEO decision was backed by the law.

She can choose to continue bearing the surname since no one forced it on her. The same way the NPP can care the nickname Majority’, but on the floor of parliament they are actually the minority. If the speaker counts the numbers right now the NDC still remains the majority. It is by number and not what the Supreme Court wishes. It is purely by numbers.

In parliament once you declare your intentions and the EC also receives your documents, automatically you are divorced. So your analogy does not relate to what the constitution says

There is also no Judicial Supremacy in Ghana .The 1992 Constitution of Ghana has not assigned that status to the Judiciary . Ghana is governed by a Constitution which is owned by the people of Ghana. The Judiciary as a creature of the Constitution can not be bigger than the Constitution. The Judiciary can therefore not disregard the constitution in its work .
It is not true as people have. been made to believe that the power bestowed on the judiciary to protect the constitution make it superior to the other two Organs of Government. Constitution from political philosophy stand point, is a code of conducts that regulate the action of every citizen in the State
None of the 3 organs of government is superior to the rest since each has been assigned a role to play in the state purposely to improve the welfare of the citizens. Needless interference in the affairs of one organ by another organ will deny the citizens the benefit of the Constitution. None of the 3 organs of government can claim ownership of the Constitution .All the three organs of government in Ghana are supervised by the constitution. There is no Oga among the three organs. Period.
