  The whole world, including you and I, know the truth but are economical with it, that's why the problem persists. The chieftaincy institution was not created by politics hence appointing a political party member as a chief, egregious as it is, is doomed not only to fail but going to create destructive confusion long into the future with no solution in sight. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's soul must be wallowing in pain for him to have created the problem which is still having devastating effects up to date, 67 years after his erroneous move.

  The solution to the Bawku crisis lies in relocating the minority Mamprusi in the Upper East region to the North East region where they hail from. It will be less expensive to do so than keeping the military in Bawku who have proven not capable of keeping the peace in the town.
