He may have lost money through the banking clean up but the fact is at a point he lost control of his businesses. He lost a substantial amount of money through his microfinance company. Again, many of his workers were unfaithful and not loyal. Some of his managers were not on top of issues. That's why GRA and ECG were always on him. These indeed quashed his savings for retirement. This is similar to the financial cleanup. To flush out of the financial system bad financial institutions and businesses so we can have good quality businesses and financial institutions to keep the economy productive.

If the cleanup has not taken place maybe Mr. Agyekums businesses and financial institutions he saved with would still be around. But hundreds more businesses would have been contaminated by the bad financial sector (menstrual blood that needs to be flushed away). and we would have had 10 businesses destroyed instead of just that of Michael Agyekum.

Its better we sacrifice that of Mr. Agyekums for the betterment of the 10 other businesses that are still functioni ng, creating jobs, and paying taxes. That is why its a healthy sign to see a woman having her menstrual cycle. It means her reproductive system flushing out bad blood is healthy!

To survive in the new Nigerian Financial environment Vanks had to be competitive. Reason why a number of them Zenith, Access, GT Guaranty all had to open branches across Africa including Ghana and Europe to be more competitive.

During the cleanup did you hear of any Nigerian Bank or their Depositors collapse. NO!

Why because the Nigerian banking sector left by Jonathan Goodluck was so competitive, run efficiently and cash rich that their Branches in Ghana just called on their parent companies in Nigeria to advance them the new Capital requirements to meet the new requirements by the Fhana govt.

Not one Nigerian Bank complained nor failed. And all Ghanaian businesses saving with these banks are still standing tall.

The local Banks that failed are the ones badly managed. Makola women could do a better job managing their shops than the owner of these banks. They include the Amoabengs of UT Bank and Nduoms GN Banks and other funny ones.

Clean up is clean up. You dont meet the standard you get cleaned up. And as a businessman every year justcas you read your Annual Accounts you should also study the Accounts of the Bank you save with abd ask question on its viability in light of changing environmental and business condition to look for signs of trouble to diversify your financial portfolio or move them all together.
