The problem is roadworthiness check in Ghana.They collect bribes and leave all those vehicles unchecked.In Ghana, almost all vehicles plying our roads are faulty.Either the head lamp, tail lights or mechanical fault which the drivers mostly say , Oh this one l will manage it!!- It goes as far as some of those vehicles not even having a functional wiper blades.And most of these drivers aren't professional drivers,since some of them got their license through aplanke jobs. Some of them even doesn't know the road signs and their meanings. Before getting my driving license it took me over a year and half .l have to do the theory and the practical aspects of driving, and finally have to pass a driving test before obtaining my license. Ghana asemoo!!! How many people lose their lives yearly in road accidents in Ghana? Accidents could happen anytime , but we could also avoid accidents.

Do you understand the word FAILING? The brakes of the vehicle could be working and things went wrong. It is a machine and can go faulty at any point in time. How do you punish the driver and the vehicle owner?
I started driving very young and had some Mechanic friends. When people brought their vehicles for repairs, they go to KOKOMPE and bought used inferior ones to fix vehicles. How would the Mechanic and the vehicle owner know about such a situation? At KOKOMPE, after buying a useless part, they can get a receipt to suggest that the part needed for fixing the vehicle is a new one. Will the owner and driver know what went on at the shop?
Some of the drivers don’t know how to drive but just speed abruptly on the brakes while speeding.
There are also drivers who don’t service the brakes of their vehicles regularly. It could even be that the vehicle was short of Brake fluid. Brake failure can be caused by many factors. The cause of the failure of the brakes should be thoroughly investigated and punishment exacted

If the driver complains that the vehicle needs servicing the owner will say: Go and come!!!

Even Brakes fixed with new parts can fail depending on the parts used and the nature of the roads. Crazy speeding and stepping on the brakes suddenly lead to brake failure.
