This a valid question successive governments have failed to tackle with all seriousness. The importers of rice are polically connected and they lobby intensively to obtain import licence for rice. Operation Feed Yourself of Colonel Akyeampong's time was good mobilisation for the country' s food security and this should be reintroduced with passion and dedication to make it succeed. In Ghana our ideas and views are mostly clouded by political biases. We must learn to listen to different views and encourage intelligent discussions going.
