No, it is never shameful. Col. Minyila was from the Northern part of Ghana, possibly from the Dagomba area but he was, and has been the most loved Regional Minister that the Eastern Region ever had. Many places and things have been named after him at Koforidua. I regret how the cohorts of Efo Jeremiah John Rawlings horribly treated him when they seized power. I was at Tamale then when Soldiers arrested him. He was taken into one of the Military Torture Chambers for torturing after his hair had been shaved with a broken bottle. He was then tied to the back of a vehicle and dragged through the streets of Tamale. Really, that was a horrible sight but nobody could do anything about it. It was just an evil treatment. When he was released, he was never healthy again and was never again of himself until he died. May his soul rest in eternal Perfect Peace.
