But as it stands Mahama has only 2yrs and then the fight for NDC to identify a new flagbearer begins in 2025.. The moment a new person is identified in 2026, Mahama and his govt literally becomes lameduck as the new flagbearer will have to be consulted on any decision taken so it doesnt affect his 2028 chances.

  He needs 4yrs to change the Constituion and call a referendum for it to be voted upon. What he can do is to suspend the constitution at the end of 2026 call in the Army to kerp him in power and bring in a new Constitution by end of 2028 which allows him to compete for 2028. Easy!
