This world is passing away and soon Jesus is coming back to judge the world. Hell is real and heaven is real. If president Mahama introduces Ghanaians to Jesus that alone is enough for His soul. The cathedral nana addo built is wrong because God made us know in His word that our bodies are His temple not man made buildings. Jesus preached the gospel to the multitude and fed them. He never asked the apostles to build temples, but He said our bodiesare His temples. President Mahama must invest in Ghanaians not buildings built with hands. President Mahama's national day of prayer and thanksgiving is better than huge temples built with hands in the name of God,but God doesn't dwell in it but in us. Ghana needs Jesus. The Saviour of the world. I only hope president Mahama will stick to Christ only and not follow other false religions

You and your ilk, including those in the pastorate, attacked the idea of building a National Cathedral right from the word go, even when anything supposedly untoward is yet to be committed. Is this promise of yours also not a personal wish, why then do you also foist that on Ghanaians? GHANA DOESN'T NEED A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, JUST AS IT HAS NO NEED FOR A NATIONAL CATHEDRAL. IT'S WRONG FOR ANY POLITICIAN TO TRY TO IMPOSE THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEVES ON THE PEOPLE OF GHANA.

Refrain from establishing these needless holidays. Ghana needs immediate steps taken against galamsey; a road-map top economic recovery; and a sincere effort to rid government of corruption. Further, the government should not dive into the same bullshit that Akufo-Addo got himself into by carving out needless new regions. No more creation of new regions. Ghanaians are crying out for jobs, better pay for their services, access to healthcare, good roads, access to safe drinking water, immediate end to galamsey, and more funding for the Police to help it fight criminals who are freely terrorizing Ghanaians on the roads across the country as well as in their communities. Prayers don't solve a nation's problems, nor do they help to bring people together. Government should not be involved in the arena of religion, for there already are enough days in the week that Ghanaians get together to pray. No more semi-national cathedral religious policies in trying push religion on the country. Ghanaians will be more united if politicians, government officials, religious leaders, and traditional leaders take a stand against divisiveness. One day of national Prayer isn't the answer.

Make July 1 National Day of Prayers and Thanks Giving. Why? 1. July 1 is the day Ghana gained her true independence as a Republic.
2. July 1 marks the beginning of the second half of the calendar year. 3. July 1 marks the beginning of farming throughout the country. The southern part may have started much earlier, the middle belt somewhat early and by July 1, all the northern parts would have been ushered into the farming season. Ghana depends on rainfed agriculture at the moment for her agricultural activities which constitute the backbone of her economy. A prayer of Thanks Giving and for God's blessing will be in the right direct.
4. By July 1, the nation would have had a sense of how she is fairing and so returning to God for mercy and direction for the rest of the year will just be the right thing to do.

Go to Ethiopia and see the pace of development taking place there without the involvement of God in their development discourse. This is a country whose citizens were starving in the 1980s but today Ethiopia is the fastest growing and richest country in East Africa (bypassing Kenya and Tanzania). I suggest that Mahama should send a delegation to study the Ethiopian miracle instead of wasting time praying to God to develop us.

I think those close to the President-elect John Dramani Mahama have a serious job to do for now. They should study these comments here and follow through to the President-elect. His action on the above subject is a big flop on his presidency. He acted from emotion, which is not a great place for an experienced former president and looking at our current situation, he misstep big time. His advisers should rise up quickly to help him out, not talking, defending or explaining issues that are not needed at all. He needs another serious adviser who is very close to him on human potential development to help him through. I wish I could do that free of charge for the sake of Ghana. I did know his strength, so I am not worried about his weakness, for if he brought close to fact, he would listen. THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WE FACE AS A COUNTRY AND CONTINENT IS OUR ABILITY TO THINK THROUGH, MAKE A DECISION, AND SEE THROUGH THE FUTURE. IF WE HAVE EVEN TO LEARN TO THINK, WE SHOULD NOT HESITATE AT ALL. He missteps and must be rescued. Those close to him must act fast. Thank you.

I am not disputing the presence of God, but he does not intervene in our ways like that. He has given you the brains and that is what you have to use it. Think, think, and think and come up with solutions to your problems,

The pastors are running to his house for a so called courtesy call to congratulate him but their intentions are different. It's all about establishing contacts in order to influence his decisions.
