  It's good to talk about stumpage fees to the benefits of the community but let us also not forget about green Ghana,carbon rating and their benefits which are much much higher than whatever benefit that we get from SRA . The world has changed and so must we change our ways of doing things. Over-reliance on timber products must be a thing of the past to save the country's forest reserves. It will not be surprising to have received a letter to end de-afforestation ,for the world is changing and so must we change our ways of doing things. Human shield will not work to promote the business. EU says big no.

  There are other alternates of business like poultry that those in timber industry business can move into. Today, the country imports a huge poultry products from Europe which can be reduced by the local industry. Nobody is against the industry which made us what we are today but what can we say to survive it. EU parliament is now ruling African and it is nobody's doing to have created such a situation for those companies.
