When you bet on sports or any form of lottery and win you need to pay taxes just like any person working and collecting their paychecks pay taxes. Even market women pay taxes. Where is the government going to get money to develop the country if taxes are not paid by the people or a section of the people are exempted for political reasons. If the people refuses to face reality then the country will be lacking the simple infrastructures
Just like what Seth Terkpor was saying even in the developed countries like Europe and the USA high schools are mainly free for the people in public schools but if you can afford to send your children to private schools or boarding schools then you should not expect the government to pay for the fees
