  Just bring back Dr.Opuni to cocobod .....The woes of cocobod has little to do with production......How many tonnes did they record in the 2020/2021 crop season?10040000 tonnes and yet nothing got better..Good,pragmatic,and prudent management as was experienced under Dr.Opuni is exactly what we need to revive the once thriving cocoa sector....let the appointing authority conduct a secret survey at the cocobod and see if their results will deviat from what i am saying....They fabricated falsehood about him,villify him and a whole lot...but what has been the outcome of what they tried to do to him at the court?Nothing!...I have been a staff of the board for almost 15 years so i know what i am talking about...This might be just one of the ways to lessen the pressure on the Ghanaian cedi and not necessarily having high volumes....

  The world and us live in troubled times, so we are not alone. Where is the CocoBod mismanagement? The two world leading cocoa producers ie Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana are all experiencing a drop in cocoa output because of climate change leading to increase in the world market price for cocoa, and yes, that will impact our US Dollar earning and the Cedi exchange rate. Is that the “mismanagement” being cited? Why aren’t we feeding the people with the correct information? Where is the mismanagement in this?

Cocoboard is now paying farmers only 40% of the world price instead of the 70% per its own rules. We need water but the rivers too are all polluted due to Wuntumi and galamsey.

  Drop in production does not necessarily mean drop in revenue. Demand is still high so we expect the prices to increase to commensurate that. Price is at an all time high now.
