JM will not be coerced by any CSO to do anything contrary to his promises: cost-sharing in FSHS, sacking of EC chair etc...unless it's a ruse by the NDC to let the CSOs set the agenda. We are not fools in Ghana ooo.

The man JDM has promised to and private schools to the program and you are asking for cost sharing. If there is problem it should be solved. Somebody has managed it for 8 years. No excuse please

Do you know how students went through in the eight years of FSHS? How students were fed with contaminated foods, poor sleeping arrangements etcetera? Parents who wants their wards to enjoy boarding schools must pay for BnB period. During this eight years, there were no curriculum for teachers, and there were no textbooks to use. What type of education is this.

Don’t behave that you just landed in Ghana from Neptune. We all ate contaminated food at our secondary schools and training Colleges during the Kutu and General Akuffo era. We ate stew made with Cassava leaves and WELE meat. Then also the stew students called GAS OIL. Oops, our beans stews had some insects in them. Those who came after we had left the Boarding and lodging ate KOKO SAKORA. Yes that was the only option available.
I have mentioned it over here that Parents of all Boarding and Lodging schools in Ghana, irrespective of which part of Ghana they come from or school at should be made to contribute a percentage of their feeding cost. There should be no exceptions as to where one schools or come from. That percentage should be universal. Until then, there will be problems with the feeding of our students. Those who cannot afford should be Day Students.
This should not be left for Mahama to do because his own people from the North will go mad because he went to school for free even though his Parents were rich enough to pay for his Boarding and Lodging. Now that Akuffo Addo made it free for all, there is no way Mahama can exempt any people from any geographical area. It is going to be EITHER WE ALL PAY SOMETHING TOWARDS THE BOARDING AND LODGING OF OUR WARDS IN THE HIGH SCHOOLS OR NOBODY PAYS. That is fair and Common Sense. Then the CMB Scholarship should be scrapped because the country doesn’t depend solely on Cocoa for survival. Don’t leave it to Mahama. Set up a committee to handle it because the issue is very delicate and political.

The free SHS policy was a political exercise to win votes for the NPP. It wasn't well thought out before being implemented. It is saddled with so many bottlenecks and has brought the economy of Ghana to its knees. Because of this policy even day students are fed free. Is the economy sound enough to stand the finacial shock of feeding all day students in Ghana free? The policy needs to be reviewed for it to be financially manageable for the nation.
