  God does not drop gifts and food into our mouths as if we are bird hatchlings.All God does is PRESENT US WITH OPPORTUNITIES.When we ask God for a good job ,He often answers us by giving us us the opportunity to work harder,study harder so that we can gain skills that attract a higher salary or income.He expects us to study and acquire new skills so that we can handle the bigger responsibilities and bigger demands that come with a promotion.
  GOD BLESSES US BY BLESSING THE WORK OF OUR HANDS. SO IF OUR HANDS ARE EMPTY THEN HE HAS NOTHING TO BLESS US WITH.If we have a particular skill or gift then God will bless this if we take the necessary steps to improve these skills- THAT IS WHEN GOD WILL GIVE US OPPORTUNITIES-That promotion etc.
  WE PROVE THAT GOD IS WITH US WHEN HE BLESSES US THROUGH THE WORKS OF OUR HANDS. A student who reverences and honours God will discipline themsleves and study very hard and avoid wasting time on unimportant things.They will avoid spending hours watching TV or surfing the internet or on social media.
  Likewise any adult who wants to get ahead in their career or vocation will discipline themselves,work hard,plan strategically ,live frugally (economize) save and invest.They will also improve their skills through serious study.They will avoid wasting time, effort and money trying to impress people. GOD WILL THEN BLESS THEIR EFFORTS BY GIVING THEM SUCCESS .THE PATH TO SUCCESS WILL OFTEN REQUIRE COURAGE AND PERSEVERENCE BECAUSE THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS OFTEN BUMPY AND WE MAY SOMETIMES SUFFER TEMPORARY SETBACKS.BUT THIS DIFFICULT JOURNEY TO SUCCESS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT STRENGHENS US ,MAKES US TOUGHER, STRONGER SO THAT WE WILL HAVE THE STRENGH TO BEAR THE WEIGHT OF THE BLESSINGS GOD IS ABOUT TO PLACE ON OUR HEAD.That is why it is foolish to use short cuts or dishonest means to get a higher position because you will likely end up in a job that you haven't got the capacity or the ability to handle- THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH MANY OF OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN TOP POSITIONS WHO GOT THEIR JOBS THROUGH "CONNECTIONS" BRIBERY ETC-THEIR POOR PERFORMANCE IS SOON EXPOSED. HOWEVER WHOEVER PERSEVERES IN WORKING WELL AND PUTS THEIR TRUST IN THE LORD WILL BE BLESSED BY THE LORD HIMSELF.
