CHASS has never liked the free SHS for very obvious corrupt reasons. Now that the outgoing government have been voted out they now have grown balls to dare speak against the policy.
They wouldn't have the guts to speak out ...

CHASS has never liked the free SHS for very obvious corrupt reasons. Now that the outgoing government have been voted out they now have grown balls to dare speak against the policy.
They wouldn't have the guts to speak out if the mandate of the NPP had been renewed at the polls.Let the incoming government redefine the SHS and decouple free accommodation and meals from the policy with the promise that fee paying boarders will be fed well and the dormitories will be sanitized with the bed bug menace being a thing of the past.

Conference of heads of "ASSISTED" secondary schools is an association of mission schools and the likes and therefore can not be the mouth piece for all second cycle schools . There is the majority of non- mission or gov.second cycle schools which have been kept behind and needs to be considered always than the chass. My worry remains with the delayed first time teachers postings and how their salaries will be calculated to avoid lapses. Changes in managerial office settings,a priority of gov.,MOE,GES and a delayed budget presentation are among the major causes of the delay of the release of shs funding and release of a teacher posting,i believe. GES has to re-enforce national teaching council's core mandate policy of categorisation of teachers based on their certificate and therefore needs earlier reopen of shs ,tvet and stem schools for effective and timely implementation of the long and much awaiting students massive failure and school's quality control dwindling policy check of teacher category policy.
