Please focus on job creation and stop the freebies because that is where you politicians makes your money. Free this free that is not what we want, we want to work and cater for ourselves so create more employment. Procurement is the genesis of all corruption since the inception of this fourth republic. We don't need your freebies, we are hard working country, just create the jobs and we will work to cater for our families. Those lazy ones will be fished out once there is availability of jobs and these will be the ones rooting the free here free there. We beg we don't need your freebies because you will use it to steal our monies. We need job creation.

One easy solution.
Make JHS a four year program and SHS 2 years.
We will cut down the cost of funding SHS by one third.

It used to be 5 years to complete O’level and 2 years for A’level up until the early 90s

It used to be 5 years to complete O’level and 2 years for A’level up until the early 90s

We will definitely need to add a few classrooms to the existing JHS classrooms but the overall cost saving will be significant and the quality of education in the second cycle will improve tremendously.

Free SHS is good but it be implemented gradually. First of all we have to consider day schools in our communities. In Tema for instance we have only one boarding school ie Tema Secondary School and have over 5 day schools. Boarding facility is expensive and a privilege. Unfortunately the schools which President Mahama built to start the free SHS were left to rot in the towns and villages. How can a student from Walewale be posted to a day SHS in Tema. The parent comes to Tema to hire a room for the student. WHY?
