Failure to reassign them is a breach of contract while makes government subjective to legal suites! I know this government love paying judgment debts though.

I would advise the government to commission studies from reputable think tanks to look into some of these things before such policies are drawn up. Then, more often than not, most of these programmes are born out of public sentiments and politicians respond ostensibly for economic reasons but the real motive is for party political gains.

I have always jumped at any commentary from Bright but this particular one is either written in haste or poorly thought through. If some ministries attract insignificant budgetary allocations,that's the more reason why they need to be scrapped since they are filled by staff. Reallocation of these staff, many of whom will likely be low level staff whose wages when combined dwarf those of the compensation of a single minister and deputy amounts to some savings. Many civil servants sit around, reducing the number of ministries open up room for rationalization of duties. It's good that the pundits are back but I look forward your usual quality policy commentaries, this one has bit circular argument

He has to start with his ministers and drive in to the agencies. Ghana to have 30 ministries and about 87 ministers were very obnoxious. I really don't understand this criticism at all. Are you saying public sentiments don't matter? When he cuts the ministries down, and other agencies down, then overall we make some savings. Little hear, little there, together makes the desired impact. For this criticism has no foundation! Please come again sir!
