I doubt NAPO has the credentials he purports as having. I will NOT be surprised he made it up. Many of these NPP people make up their credentials to fools the people, especially these Asantis who are so simple minded.

The free SHS program could have been the most far reaching social intervention program for the country. Instead, it has turned out to become a financial albatross around the neck of the country because of the poor implementation led by this most arrogant man. Unfortunately, hubris is not allowing him to sit back and reflect of the many unintended consequences of the poor implementation and still insists in spite of the evidence of the failures that we should praise his efforts. The saying that "he the gods want to destroy, they first make mad" is in full display here. He is speaking about "contact hours" as if it's a magic bullet for positive outcomes when secondary education to have a holistic positive impact needs much more - quality teaching, adequate resources, enabling environment, physical and phycological well-being, teacher motivation and more. Students are sleeping on the floor, sanitation is problematic, nutrition is poor, there are not an adequate supply of textbooks and other resources. Lecturers in tertiary education are complaining about the standard of literacy of the candidates they are receiving. The true results of this tragic experiment of the free SHS is going to be evident in the years to come when these products begin to take on critical roles in the country.

Secondary school education is not all about contact hours. These young boys and girls are in their formative years and need holistic training. You don't reduce everything to contact hours and think that they're being trained properly. Currently, because of this focus on contact hours, students barely do anything in sports, culture, or other co-curricular activities. Even the long contact hours is not good for young people who don't have the attention span to concentrate fully. If it was helpful, why would the system fixus on just exams, to the extent that we give students past questions instead of text books. The damage caused to education will take a long time to see the effects on national development.
