During Mahama's first term, he appointed Steve Wengam as the Board Chair of Prisons Service. They are both members of ssemblies of God church. Mahama hid behind Steve Wengam and nearly sold the prime land on which Prisons HQ and the residential accommodation is at Cantonments to a developer in 2016 so they could relocate the Prisons HQ to beyond Amasaman. The project was abandoned. Now that Mahama has returned and he's meeting Wengam and they're meeting with this Hawk of all Pastors called Duncan Williams, I suspect the sale of Prisons lands will come on stream again.
