  Companies who purchase power companies in African Countries are going to make a profit...that's why they do it.....The ECG IN GHANA CANT MAKE A PROFIT FROM WHAT THEY CHARGE NOW FOR ELECTRICITY, SO YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT THE NEW PRICE WILLBE
  WHAT THE SCIENTIST IS SAYING, IN THEORY SOUNDS RIGHT....BUT NOT ACHIEVABLE, THE NDC WOULD ONLY HAVE A 4 YEAR TERM,IF THEY PULLED THAT STUNT.

  That’s a valid perspective, but my question remains: who in Ghana will turn ECG around? When PDS briefly stepped in as a private investor—albeit through questionable means—things started improving. However, the moment that deal was reversed and handed back to the same managers you are defending, progress stalled, and things worsened. This suggests a lack of competent management.
  
  Look at Ghana Telecom as an example—our so-called "degree holders" couldn't manage it effectively. Can you name a single state-owned company in Ghana that is consistently profitable? Even the institution you’re speaking from relies on taxpayer funds for sustenance. Being a scientist does not equate to having the skills to manage a company.
  
  What we need is a transparent bidding process to bring in a private entity capable of running ECG efficiently. They could directly channel the upfront payments we make for power to the power producers, ensuring accountability and better service delivery.
