I think that not all crimes need Prison custody sentences. Some Petit crimes and non violent ones need Community Services that are tough and well supervised. For example, some criminals could be sentenced to clean toilet places, sweep the streets and markets and lorry stations, hospitals, schools, weed the Roadsides, and fill Potholes. Others can be rented to work at people’s farms and return to the Prisons at the end of the day. Anyway, such sentences should be limited to very Petite and non violent crimes. Don’t mix violent and non violent criminals in Prison custody because this will make the non violent offenders become violent when released.

The inmates in our prisons are human beings . Why do we treat them like rubish . Pets in our homes are treated better. We need to review our laws to cut down prison sentences. So many years for minor offences.
