Imagine a President who doesn't pay taxes but takes ex-gratia and is protected by an immunity clause in the Constitution even after exit from office.

Appointing ministers from parliament who are supposed to be the check on the executive.

Multitasking MPs in the name of efficiency when the unemployment rate is rife or through the roof.

If all politics is local, then why is everything centralized in Accra to the detriment of the rest of the country?

Why do we practice non-partisan decentralization when electoral posters betray or reveal political party colors and lie to ourselves?

Can Accra manage our roads and water, enforce laws, and provide other social amenities than our elected local government? Are our MPs lawmakers or development agents?

Why promise heaven and earth to the citizenry, and when power is entrusted to you, Ato Forson, the newly appointed Finance Minister, declares that all our taxes will pay for debt servicing alone?

Why were Oliver Barker Vormawor and Nii Noi Thompson not included in the constitution review, or will Chairman Henry Kwasi Prempeh consult them?
