Why would the President who in my view appears a lot smarter than some of his predecessors remove an IGP who has proven to be very committed ,very efficient, has a lot of drive and leads from the front and is hugely popular with the Ghanaian public? The IGP's effectiveness in begining the establishment of the rule of law in Ghana can only further enhance and embelish the reputation of President Mahama. Let's give the President some credit, he knows a winner when he sees one.
When this IGP eventually leaves office ,he will leave very big shoes behind that his successor will likely struggle to fill.The IGP just needs to avoid doing something really stupid (i.e. money issues,women issues ,power issues etc) and he needs to watch the sort of company he keeps around him (that is what sometimes causes men and women with great potential to stumble and mess up their destiny).
