They don’t control the police, hospitals, roads, Gabbage collection, etc. They chair the regional security…. which has experts that are not under the Regional Minister’s control. What exactly do you want the Minister-Designate to be asked that is under her control????

I concur! Having a Regional Council instead of a Regional Minister as somebody is suggesting is like setting out to build a HORSE and ending up building a DONKEY. Each member comes with his or her own agenda that he or she wants implemented without regard to the limited resources. In the end, not much is done, the 'Council' is dissolved and no one individual is held accountable. Scrutinizing and hearing what her plans are for the Region at least gives us an idea what we can hold her accountable for in the future. After all, she is going to be on state salary. Ghanaians did not vote for Bawumia because he and his boss Akufo Addo did not do what they said they were going to do. To effectively kill a snake, you cut its head off, not just weeding the grass around it! These our parliamentarians are bunch of SELF-PATRONIZING jackasses that are hell bent on preserving CRONYISM!

We dont have a President who has been indicted on more than 30 felony charges including rapes and financial misappropriation. In many towns and villages in the country where you live, the evil of racism is endemic and on an average weekend, over a hundred people are killed. If you are a human being with a properly functioning brain, how can you possibly think that Ghana is worse than this?

My respect for parliament for being a house of laws and orders is very deep. I believe once the committee have identified and invited the gentleman, the rest must be referred to the privileges committee for further probing. Time is money and Ghanaians are paying for this for absolutely no productivity. This is exactly what the minority wants. Delay proceedings and frustrate the government unnecessarily. NDC should be careful, they are playing to the dictates of the clueless minority. H E President Mahama is not even immune from public negative criticism. Our parliament is becoming too autocratic. The minority is too petty.
