Parliament has its rules and regulations but the speaker should be permitted to make decisions outside of the rules . Can Martin Kpebu explain to me why judges from different courts can pronounce two different sentences for the same crime? A judge in Accra can sentence a thief who stole plantain to two years in prison while another judge in Kumasi can also sentence someone with the same crime to just two months in prison. I think Kpebu is a lawyer and his take on the speaker’s decision to suspend those foolish MPs who disgraced our parliament is wrong and must retract his stupid advice to the MPs to sue the speaker. The speaker is obligated to instill discipline in parliament and those who think they know better than the speaker must keep quiet and let Bagbin perform his duties.
