All independent institutions were under the armpit of Akuffo Addo to the extend that the law courts were disregarded on countless occasions. NPP government was the law and constitution to themselves. I remember vividly the case of Gregory Afoko, who was granted Bill by the law court but the lawless NPP government under Akuffo Addo disrespectfully snubbed the court and kept Gregory in jail contrary to court's orders.
