Good suggestion
I can't help but agree with the suggestion coming from Musa Dankwa. Recovery of looted assets is more beneficial to the state, than imprisonment. Also, the law of causing financial loss should be reviewed and amended to stop ...

The Constitution frowns on retroactive laws. New laws cannot punish old crimes, please.
Very good approach.Thanks
What kind of thinking is this ,some one stole this amount of money ,and you are telling us to wait. Did they wait before taking people's savings. There are many laws to deal with looting.dont water down the good work done .If ...

I agree 100% with this man. Apart from looking at the legal framework to deal with these issues, steps must also be taken to overhaul the entire judicial system including the removal of the CJ and all political appointed SC ...

@Mensa are you thinking right. What was Nana Addo doing all these 8 years and if anyone including JM needed to be prosecuted he would have done it with glee. JM is now in power he must do what must be done.
So are you saying that considering the current laws we have in place now an individual can steal from us Scot free. I beg to differ. All crimes against the people of Ghana are PUNISHABLE BY LAW.
Opinions are like coughs, we all get them from time to time!
I think that is a nonsensicality with no merit which must be tossed into the dustbin without a second thought!
You see the stupidity? You are now thinking of the law to use to prosecute people alleged to have committed crimes? Fools abound. If you don’t have any laws to prosecute your alleged offenders, just shut your stinking mouth ...

Why are fools like you still allowed to comment on social media, why?
Ndc is joker party who do they think they can prosecute, after dropping more than 8 high cases and u want to prosecute who? Very soon sedinam Tamaklo will be pardon but I don't know why Ghanaians love Ndc
Brilliant idea. NDC have the numbers in Parliament to effect the changes
Musah Danquah: The legal question is:
Can that law be applied retrospectively to incidents that predate the enactment of such a law?
Mr Dankwa, what you are saying is correct , but the law is not RETROACTIVE. The law enacted now cannot look BACKWARD. Therefore they should use existing laws to prosecute them! We have sufficient laws to do that!
As a layperson my only question is can someone be charged with an offence that did not exist at the time it was supposed to have been committed?
Let us be careful not to create laws to suit a particular group of people.
Good advice. Government must ensure the necessary legal amendments are in place otherwise cases can drag for the nex 4 years and beyond like the Cocobod Opuni case.
