You are very right. My youngest son is in the USA Military and does not live at the Military Barracks. Many Specialized Military Personnel of the USA don’t live in the Military Barracks but among the communities where they partner with the Police to fight crimes. We have many FBI Agents living in the communities and easily deal with criminals. Living in the Community, they know and can easily identify Drug Dealers and Traffickers, rapists, and people who have been involved and commit various crimes. That makes the work of the Police easier. They carry Concealed Weapons and don’t usually dress in their Professional Uniforms. So, usually if a crime is committed, they get there before the Police. They even live in Rented Apartments and can hardly be identified as Security Outfits. Some are Teachers, Nurses and belong to other professions. They usually put on their Military and Police uniforms when called for duty. My youngest son is in the army and lives with his sisters in their house. He has only visited me once when he returned from a Duty in Saudi Arabia. That was the only time I saw him in Military Uniform. My Vice Principal was a Military Officer but always came to school in Civilian Clothing . I only saw him once in school dressed in his Military Uniform. House some of these Military Officers at homes in Kasoa, Nima, and other damn violent neighborhoods and see how criminal activities will be low at such places.
According to what I understand, in the USA, even when they are housed in the communities, they are observed and monitored by their Officers who also live in and out of such communities. You can’t play with them because they are always fully Armed and have their Bulletproofs on. So, it is not easy to play with any criminal activities in the neighborhoods. Play with any criminal activity and you will be down before the Police even get there.
Many of such Military Officers however live at the Barracks.
