You are right. The Young Pioneers became like the Third Eye of Nkrumah. They were indoctrinated to spy on their communities for Nkrumah’s CPP. Some were even brainwashed to spy on their parents and family members for Nkrumah’s Government. That accounted for people who did not even play any active role in Politics were sent to Nsawam Prison to be tortured and even die. Nsawam Prison became Nkrumah’s Concentration and Death Camp. We were not babies and heard what went on inside the Prison. How many Political Prisoners were sent to Nsawam and came back alive? Thanks to the Political Murderer who was even feared by members of his Government and Party.He was so callous that he even made his benefactors die at the Prison and were buried at the Nsawam Prison Cemetery. It is nice he also died in exile having been abandoned by Fathia and even his friend Sekou Toure.

Anytime this npp are in government they zoomed into their revisionist default mode and start treating the subject so shabbily and oftentimes skewed same to always project small and mirco subgroup as more superior and better players and jurisdiction above all the other subsections of our country..

The subject must be given it's rightful place in our curriculum because history remain a very critical subject to equip us all and our children by educating, equipping, and encouraging us all with knowledge and events about our past but it also helps us to draw critical lessons from our ourselves and position us to shape a better future for ourselves and our country..

It is not what you teach children that is important; it's what they see you do. Our children saw the chaos in parliament and listen to insults on the radio. These helped us in the 60s to early 70s.You can ask for write ups from the public to and stop imposing your little untested ideas.
