  The same JE Sarpong was nearly kicked out Accra Academy by the Old Boys when he assisted Mrs Hamilton to admit Joe Addo,Richard Naawu etc to 6th Form despite they failing one or two subjects at O Level. I praise and respect him for supporting Athletes/Footballers into that great school.Ghana's education structure do not support Sportmen /women like what pertains in the Advanced World.

  This was the kind of Person I was looking for. I was a good footballer who was playing for Madina FM. The coach then introduced me to Legon Presec Sports Teacher who was already in favor of it because we used their pitch for training and some of our matches, Unfortunately by the time the coach discovered me, I've already Chosen My SSS without Legon Presec. When the results came I obtained Aggregate 12 but the Sports Teacher wanted to admit me there.My father was against it because he wasn't in favor of Me playing football, citing reasons that I might get injured just as his elder brother. The Sports master pleaded with him even by giving me a half scholarship but my father refused saying he doesn't have money to pay, yet still he was able to send me to my first Choice where I was picked. My coach didn't has that fighting spirit to convince my father to let me play as JE Sarpong did. But he did his part. I went to that school played for the School team from form 1 to 3, after completing school, I ditched football since my father wasn't in support of and that was the end of my career. In Ghana, in other to be recognized by the national under 17 team, unless you go to some selected SHS including Accra Academy, Legon Presec and some few others if you want to play and study at the same time, or you choose one, schooling or dropout to focus on playing. So on behalf of Asamoah Djan, I say thank you to Coach JE Sarpong
