Bright is clearly in the pocket of foreign commercial interests. He is always loudest and fiercest critic of government actions or positions in disputes against multinational corporations, be they telecoms or oil companies. In the instant case, why is unitization such a bad idea if it favors an indigenous company? Even the arbitral court in London found that unitization is not bad in principle. They issued guidance for key steps to implement to ensure fairness to all parties. Why kill the Ghanaian company just to satisfy a multinational? By the way, what does Bright have to say about contract which Mahama's first government signed with ENI, which some have described as scandalous and exploitative? While Trump is using rough tactics to put America first, Bright and his ilk are applauding a government decision that clearly undermines local entrepreneurship. As for the NAPO angle, it is just low and unworthy of a big brain like Bright Simmons.
