  Photocopies are not accepted in any transactions in any country in the world. This shouldn't be something new to GHANAIANS.

  We seems to aply law than common sense,so we should carry the Ghana Card everywhere where transactions are needed?What about the posibility of lost and time of replacing?

  If you’re a grown man or a woman and can’t safely keep an id without losing it you probably don’t deserve . Have you seen anyone flying anywhere with a photocopy of their passport ,

  Andrew! The Ghana card is supposed to have your biometric details. If that is the case then your facial look and fingerprints are enough to get your transaction through if the bank has already captured those details. If it is ...

  Andrew! The Ghana card is supposed to have your biometric details. If that is the case then your facial look and fingerprints are enough to get your transaction through if the bank has already captured those details. If it is really biometric you don’t need carry it around as it was in the 80’s. The reason why we carry biometric passports around is because even though it can be verified in other countries they don’t keep database of all passports holders in the world. Ghana has a database of ECOWAS Ghana card holders and they share with the financial institutions. This is not about a grown man carrying ID cards around. It’s about biometric identity which seek to in a way eliminate the bearing and usage of physical ID cards.

  So when your Ghana card is even misplaced you should still get your transactions through if the bank has already verified your details. When you are in emergency and need to do financial transactions and your Ghana card gets missen that morning your transaction should go through if it is really biometric ID
