  Hold on. Is the government taking over a private educational institution and declaring it public, thereby assuming all its costs, profits or losses? Who and where are in original investors? This whole thing sounds fishy.

  Why was this College not simply given its charter to operate as a recognised tertiary institition as is the usual practice?

  Why was this College not simply given its charter to operate as a recognised tertiary institition as is the usual practice?
  
  Why the extra extension to absorb it into the public colleges of education system? Is it because it is in a privileged region ... THE ,SAVANNAH REGION of all the 16 regions in Ghana?
  
  If this was done because the government wants at least one
  College of Education in each of Ghana's then that is very
  commendable. In that case it would be more prudent to set it aside as a SCIENCE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION to train the critical mass of qualified science teachers for Ghana's basic school level
