CURRENTLY THERE IS A MAJOR CHANGE IN THE USA ITSELF A VERY QUITE REVOLUTION IS UNDER WAY. FIGHTING SAME GROUP WHO MIGHT HAVE OVERTHROWN KWAME NKRUMAH MORE OR LESS FIGHTING FOR US IN A WAY.   Most Ghanaians from my opinion are evil. These manifests itself in the way we behave at all times. We have strong sense of entitlement each time when we are given an opportunity, and we are so greedy we can even think. The church and education has not changed or transformed us. So what do we live for as human beings?(

  3. He was removed because, the West were afraid that he was rising to a high power if Africa unite, the West will could be shut down from their interest in our minerals and lose control of handling us the way they want

  Even though President Mahama stated some of the facts, the main reason why the US did not like him was the Congo Crises. Nkrumah had gone to the United Nations to petition that; the United Nations should raise an Army to go and quell the disharmony in Congo. The United States response was that it was impossible for the United Nations to raise an Army. Nkrumah's response to that was " Ghana has an army, I will give them to the United Nations to send them to Congo". Ghana was the first country to send an army to Congo and other Nations followed. The US felt that Nkrumah had outwitted them and therefore planned to overthrow him.

  The USA and its partner in crime the UK were alarmed by Nkrumah's fierce anti-colonialism stance as well as his wide popularity both in Ghana and across the continent continent. The USA and its CIA may have been operators of the coup vehicle that crashed into Nkrumah, but there was a key passenger in that coup vehicle, and it was the UK, the USA's partner-in-crime against the aspirations and stability of African countries.
  
  The USA and the UK viewed Nkrumah as one who stood in the way of the desires of the USA and the UK to cultivate puppets, stooges and corrupt idiots as African leaders so that the USA and the UK could continue to dictate the flow of African natural resources for the benefit of the West. The claim of Nkrumah's leanings to the Russia and China was merely a deceptive ploy to fool Africans. Since the USA and the UK saw Nkrumah as a highly intelligent, well-informed, fiercely-anti-colonialist with no history of corruption in his bones and a person who was unapologetically independent and refused to be controlled by any foreign nation, they felt the solution to their problem was to have Nkrumah removed from office, and this task was to be done by the USA through CIA covert activities. And the USA readily found an ally in Busia and his fellow Busia/Danquah band of disgruntled politicians. Busia in turn turned to Afrifa in the Ghana Army as the person who would be used to work with the CIA. Kotoka and the rest of the coup participants had no knowledge of that the working alliance between Busia and Afrifa. Statements read by the coup leader to Ghanaians on the day of the coup were actually written by the CIA and handed to Afrifa who in turn handed those written statements Ankrah to broadcast to Ghanaians.
  
  It will come as a shock to most Ghanaians that a key player in the CIA plot against Nkrumah was the son of a famous Ghanaian emigré to the USA, and that player was handsomely rewarded professionally by the USA once the coup against Nkrumah became successful.   In a nutshell, the USA's coup against Nkrumah was planned and carried out to keep the charismatic and influential Nkrumah from "opening" the minds of other African leaders and the people of Africa. The lame excuse about the cold war era being the reason for America's coup against Nkrumah is nothing but a façade. It had everything to do with cutting off the neck of the body to avoid Nkrumah's views spreading across the continent of Africa, and little to do with cold war era politics. Nkrumah was seen by the USA and the UK as a powerful force who could singly-handedly influence the views of leaders and citizens across the African continent, views that stood against the USA and UK plans to dominate African natural resources. Despite the claims of the USA that it stands for freedom and democracy for all people across the globe, the USA is the same country that defied the UN ban on arms shipments to South Africa and its evil apartheid regime by arming the apartheid regime with nuclear weapons. Once the apartheid regime was about to fall, that regime quickly shipped the nuclear weapons back to the USA to keep them from falling into the hands of the incoming Mandela administration. The painful effects of the sabotaging of the Nkrumah government by the USA and the UK will be felt by Ghanaians for many decades to come.
