  Funny thing is, in civilised countries, even their elite forces do not beat up civilians. It's only in third world countries, particularly African ones that we have such hooliganism.

  Indiscipline among our state institutions especially the security services has given birth to what we see now. Members of the security services in 3rd world countries always use brute force to intimidate the very same people they've sworn an oath to protect. Some even see it as an avenue to settle personal scores with their perceived enemies. The level of professionalism in the security sector of the West is unmatched. You only see them applying force when there's an attempt to physically prevent them from discharging their mandate. The same cannot be said about the police/ military in Africa. They are so unprofessional to the core and only think abusing and intimidating innocent civilians is what makes them relevant. It's so pathetic that their superiors look unconcerned at the level of impunity and disregard for the rule of law by their members because they are also accomplices or beneficiaries of these misconducts. This issue raised by the fire officer shouldn't be swept under the carpet as usual. It must be investigated to the latter and persons found guilty must be punished to serve as a deterrent to others.

We are talking about people who were nearly knocked down by people not even on emergency on zebra crossing and you single out the Fireman as if he had no right at all? The police no longer protect lives and properties as the IGP is in comatose mode, so are his subordinates. The state of the security is so low that ndc party foot soldiers could invade the premises of the divisional police station and vandalized the place as the personal stood unconcerned. Now, ndc foot soldiers have more power to control the street of this country than the police as violence and indiscipline reign supreme in the country. So, Mr. PRO. I have to apologize on behalf of the indisciplined policemen for their rudely conduct.
