Nkrumah was by no means a snitch; he had his integrity intact. That is one of the reasons why the CIA did not do the coup in Nkrumah's presence so as to preserve his life. Unlike JB Danquah, who sells his own country. Sore loser.

According to S.S. Bafour-Awuah and Lt. Owusu-Dzimmah whenever they are about to take bath prison warders were always at hand to make sure that they don't harm themselves. They were most of the time put into what is called monkey chain.
It will interest you that Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia did not release all those who attempted to overthrow the imperialist quisling military cum police junta of the National Liberation Council (NLC). Thus they were released after Colonel Ignatius Acheampong coup of 13th January, 1972.
Other personalities who attempted to overthrow the military government of NLC were not treated less than J.B.Danquah.

People suffered a lot under that power drunk dictator and autocratic kwame Nkrumah,people were imprisoned and detained without trial and access to a lawyer and even visits were restricted or totally banned when one is imprisoned in fact there conditions were very harsh.Kwame Nkrumah thought he owned Ghana even those who brought him to the gold coast to help fight foe the independence were all imprisoned and some exiked.Dr j b Dankwa and the others suffered under kwame Nkrumah a lot and even died in prison and were ordered not to weep,no wonder he couldn't return to Ghana again after the coup but his stupid remains.Heartless dude.
