Now that it has been wrongly used for political reasons and students are convinced you now advocating against it for your party to take advantage of it

This foolish man knows next to nothing about Teacher Training education. Cancel the allowance and see how many students will seek admission to the Colleges of Education. The Colleges are attracting students who are qualified to enter the main Universities because of the allowance. In any case which is more important, paying the allowance or supplying free pampers to students at an exorbitant amount?

Depart from being an ignorant dude. The reasons why the trainee allowance has been described as wasteful has been explained severally since in public domain since the campaigning for the 2016 General elections.

Absolutely a very wasteful expenditure.
However, with a Northerner being the educational minister, it's going to be difficult to scrap it by this government. Northerners cherish the trainee allowances a lot.
