Investment bankers, by their training and trade, have great appetite for risks (calculated ones of course), hence Ofori-Atta’s penchant for borrowing. While accountants are risks averse, by their training and trade. With strict adherence to rules and regulations, keeping and balancing the books of accounts. The relevance of these categories of professionals depends on the economic environment/conditions and what the government/management wants to achieve.

Accountants are more preferable when the focus is on achieving financial stability. While pure economists, finance experts or investment bankers are more desirable for bolder and riskier decisions to break forth from the status quo, to achieve better economic growth and prosperity. The higher the risk, the higher the premium. No venture, no gain.
