    Let us maintain the name of the main Osu street as Osu RE, rather than the so-called Oxford Street we're renaming it. Why must we always make our affluent places after foreign ones!

  • Abrewatia 10 months ago

    Osu RE is a neighborhood while Oxford Street(officially Cantonments Road) is just a street passing through Osu and connecting various neighborhoods.

    Osu RE stands for Osu Royal Engineers neighborhood. It w as where the Roy ...

    I only beg to differ on the name “ Legon” . I thought the name was coined by the Gas who referred to the university college there (at that time during the colonial era ) as “ ni le gon no” to mean the hill of studies.

    This version of why Achimota is called Achimota is wrong!

    Achimota village was established by Ewe settlers along with Anumle and Chrustian Village.

    Achimota is derived from an Ewe phrase which is linked to the name the ...

    You don't make any sense at all. Achimota is exactly what the professor described. Ewe people had nothing to do with it.

    1. Achimota is derived from an Ewe phrase which is linked to the name the Europeans called Achimota School: which is the Grey City of the Outlaws Hill.

    2. Achimota was called the Outlaws Hill in the colonial days.

  • Kalimba Mozambo 10 months ago

    @MTOG.
    You are a fool who will never learn. Again, Achimota had nothing to do with Ayigbe people. Wash your damn face with alkpele and see if that helps.
