This is needless it's only going to promote corruption at the passport office. The implication is that the number of people applying for passport at a time is going to increase and this going to cause further delay in processing time hence the likelihood of applicants paying bribes for early processing.

But who pays 500 for passport. If you pay 500 you can wait years for passport to be issued. Currently Cost Ghana card is 500. It's no more free. Why you pay 500 for Ghana card and 350 for passport.
