The president has the right to appoint the IGP he feels is in alignment with his vision. Period
The president shouldn't have this authority. The state powers should be independent. The head of police should be able to investigate corruption by the leaders of the state without fearing persecution or revenge.
Every state institutions is politicised. This is impeding the progress of our country. Our constitution needs an overhaul.
So is the IGP retiring or taking a different position in the police service? Politics is destroyed our reasoning.

Ghana needs Dampare as president but a mere IGP
He is compromised, he can't do any investigation, he deserves the change.
He doesn't fit the resetting, because under his leadership so many atrocities happened without the due investigation.
