I do strongly agree with this view expressed by Senyo Hosi that Dampare is a victim of his own effectiveness in the police service. He proved to be an IGP of a different specie, who proved to have the love of the country at heart, " Ghana First ". The calibre of this gentleman Danpare with his foresight to bring effective and positive change to the police service to lift its image was so glaring to be seen and appreciated by all. There has not been any IGP whose dynamism to uplift the image of the Ghana police service so caught up with the people of Ghana to this extent. Of course this no doubt appears to have culminated in the pull him down attitude of the breed in the service who no doubt oppose to progress and the building up of a positive image of the police service for their own parochial and selfish interest. If indeed President Mahama wants to succeed in bringing about an effective transformational change, which I wish him all the best to achieve it, he should try as much as possible not to be carried away by seemingly populous sentiments which may prove to be a wrongly step taking in the long run.
