  Seriously speaking the number of Board members of all the state bodies should be pegged at 5 minimum and 7 maximum by law.

  Seriously speaking the number of Board members of all the state bodies should be pegged at 5 minimum and 7 maximum by law.
  Secondly instead of being paid monthly allowances as if they are staff Board members should be paid only when they sit or attend meetings as a Board.
  This is good practice in some international organizations.
  I am told that in Ghana the State enterprises provide individual cars and drivers to Board members for their personal use. And sometimes some of them serve on more than one Board. And there is a lot of double dipping going on. We real fundamental change in the governanace of the stae enterprises

  Whether COCOBOD is paying dividends or not, we expect the Mahama government to pay farmers two thirds of the world market price of cocoa. During the election campaign last year, the minister of finance asserted that the previous government was stealing from farmers. We the farmers of Ghana will not entertain any excuses.
