  No security arrangements, intelligence operations, prayer, mediation e and other conflict resolution efforts can bring peace to Bawku unless the parties commit themselves to peace and realize that violence does not resolve anything. Why Bawku always? Mamprusis think everywhere belongs to them! What is it about the nature of the Northerner and their resort to violence at the least matter? It must be violence at all cost? Ho!!! We are tired!

For your information, Mamprusis are not the ones committing the heinous crimes and violence over there, but the amalgamation of different migrants and tribes who have taken undue advantage of the magnanimity of Ghanaians and Mamprusis, for that matter to misbehave and calling themselves Kusasis. As everyday we talk about the porous borders, have you seen how people from all over different countries have freely squatted there and they now want to create a chiefdom for themselves and no one is seeing through them? You have been unfair to the Mamprusis. You rather call the numerous different, latter day arrivers to comport themselves.

  It is disheartening to read that the Bawku conflict ,which resurfaced last year is still on the ascendancy with the recording of two more deaths including a veterinary officer. Anyway, we greatly appreciate the appeals by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11and the vice president of the National House of Chiefs, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor who respectively called on both factions to silence their guns while strategic discussions to resolve the issues are going on.
