Politicians should not be allowed to name anything of national significance after their names because government changes hands after general elections and the government in power may abandon projects named after their opponents . Why will NDC advocate naming a national health care system after Mahama ( Mahama care ) while they can chose a name that will have a broader appeal. As at now our seat of government has two names being used depending on the government in power. It is jubilee house or flag staff house depending on which party is in power . There it is likely that Mahama care could be neglected or has its name changed when the opposition Party comes to power . Ghanaians have witnessed Akuffo Addo’s attempt to re-write Ghana’s history and this should serve as a caution when national programs are being named after party leaders.
