Gold is part of nature and has its purpose. Nature did not make gold for humans to use as earrings, necklaces, rings et so, why can't we leave it to be part of nature?

History has it that the Sahara Desert was once upon a time, a forest but humans insatiable for some precious minerals led to its current state and what does the future holds for us if Ghana becomes a desert nation? I think we will love it more than anything else.

Mahama must use either the military or the police to fight galamsey . These operators of galamsey are armed and the government cannot use civilians to fight them .
Ghana is in peace time and our military is sitting idle doing nothing and turning on civilians. This is the time to use the military to engage these galamseyers. All those engaged in galamsey include the chiefs , MP’s , government officials must be distooled or fired and prosecuted. Polution of our water bodies and destruction of land and trees must be criminalized so that those engaged can be prosecuted. If the galamseyers could be attacking and inflicting injuries to personnel of the forestry then they government must counter attack to eliminate these people and the land guards.
