Shaka opened my eye to the African continent through the many different guests he hosted on his program during his time at the VOA. Guest like Prof. Suleman Nyang, Prof Ayitey, and many many ambassadors and resource persons from across the continent of Africa.

He hosted rebel leaders like John Garang of South Sudan and other African leaders and opposition leaders and businessmen.

Shaka paid his dues for the development of the continent and threw light on bad governance, corruption and human rights violations.
