There are several handing over notes from past heads of the police service and other official books that govern how the institution ought to be run.
Am of the candid opinion the current IGP could have explored such mediums to understand the values which this former heads held.
After all we know at least one of them whose name appeared in the MV Benjamin vessel with Kofi Boakye in the cocaine issue. We are also aware of the rift that existed between same former IGP with the first IGP appointed by Nana Addo during his tenure.

From the look of things the current IGP has nothing to offer. Day in day out we’ve begun to experience surges in the rate of crime.

The past IGP’ majority of whom were cruel towards their men and women, others in bed with miscreants etc don’t necessarily understand current trends when it comes to democratic policing.

The best way to go is to develop appraisal forms, solicit the views of a good sample size of selected personnel across the country. Such surveys will help the IGP and his team inform government on the needs of the personnel.

There are provisions in the C.I.76 that promotes the welfare of the men and women in uniform but all IGP’ fear to call on the government to ensure gradual implementation of same.

Couldn’t they have employed zoom meeting to discuss the issues?

Mr Yohonu Ghanaians are keenly watching to know what you will be able to achieve.

After watching helplessly the deterioration of the nations fibres across all sectors for the past years and particularly worsened over the last 8 years they are fortunately responding to their civil responsibilities coming on heels of the recently organised Economic Forum where most of them were visible.
