Common sense should tell us that the person makes a statement that is not true, whether the statement is created by him or was given to him, tells lies and therefore is a liar. A person in possession of a contraband item who is arrested is charged with the offence POSSESSION, whether he owns the item or not. What kind of technicality is Honourable Oppong Nkrumah is trying to invoke to defend his friend. In any case , Kwakye should have read between the lines of and question the statement. Were the videos actually recorded when the items were being inspected or they were after the "alarm blow". We see Jerry cans but we do not see their contents. Even unsophisticated smugglers in Ghana have learnt to put cocoa beans in Jerry cans. You see the CAMOUFLAGE AND CONCEALMENT TECHNIQUES which the ancestors learnt from Russia and CUBA.
