When the military intervened last time, it was your likes that came up with all sorts of charters to condemn their very presence. We are talking here of a very stubborn and dangerous people who have no regard for authority and rule of law. Let the military stay in the barracks and enjoy their peace. You can also leave your lazy chair in accra and go to Bawku to ‘preach’ to them.

U are correct. The soldiers will go in and worsen the situation. Equip the the police to deal with such civilian matters, not soldiers. Stop using the army to meddle in pure civilian matters. It is a civilian matter.

Probably an amnesty on all firearms to be considered as well.

Doing the same thing over and over without result is daunting as fetching water into a basket and makes successive governments weak for being unable to solve issues within the borders of the country.

What of if there is an external aggression? My guess is as good as yours.

Kofi Bentil'scall for military imposition of peace in Bawku amounts to stupidity on his part and a supporter of the mamprusis in Bawku. Mamprusis in Bawku are surrounded by Kusasis,besides, no single mamprusis in Bawku township can move one kilometre beyond his house, regardless of which direction. Besides, if you need land for farming or for whatever purpose you have to go to the Kusasis area which is not possible for the mamprusis in Bawku. So,it is the military and the police who have been escorting mamprusis in and out of Bawku for them to import food and ammunition to fight the Kusasis on their soil. So it is important for the military to desist from escorting them,again the pockets of attacks and killing of innocent people spread across the Upper East Region does not properly define war,but rather criminality perpetrated by the mamprusis in order to gain audience.
