China’s seeming technological advancement is primarily due to theft of American intellectual property.

Trade malpractice and intellectual property theft by China constitute a huge chunk of that deficit. Trump is a business man and knows much about money so he wants to make America rich again, first of all engaging the richest man in America to conduct audit on government efficiency and to minimise waste. It's not possible for any leader to develop his country's economy by leading his country in an economic war against all other countries. It's not for nothing that countries have friends and allies in any venture. Surprisingly, Trump's America has no friends and allies; all other countries on earth are enemies to be subdued. This is madness and it will surely end in disaster for Trump and America.
